Mrs. Carolyn Hicks, Headmistress

Mrs. Hicks is a lifelong resident of the SMCA community, residing in Dublin.  She has been involved with SMCA for many years and is pleased to return as our Headmistress.  Mrs. Hicks has 43 years experience in education.  She spent seven years as a teacher at SMCA and later five years as Headmistress. She also has taught at Goshen High School, and was Librarian at Brewbaker Junior High School. She has served as Assistant Principal at Capitol Heights Junior High, Principal at Baldwin Junior High School, as well as Director of Certified Personnel with Montgomery County Public Schools. 

Mrs. Hicks received the following degrees:  BS Secondary Education and MS Secondary Education with English Minor from Troy State University, Certification as Media Specialist from Auburn, Certification in Administration from Auburn, and an Education Specialist degree from AUM.
