South Montgomery County Academy

Welcome to South Montgomery County Academy! South Montgomery County Academy (SMCA) is fully accredited by the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). We offer an educational experience in a setting where the school is the heart of the community. SMCA is located in the small town of Grady, Alabama which is 28 miles south of the city of Montgomery. It was founded in 1970 in a historic building that was originally a public school. The school has expanded with several additions through the years, but has kept the "old fashioned" values that have made an enduring affect upon all of those who've attended, as well as the community in which it resides. We at SMCA are always moving forward. SMCA is working every day to ensure we are prepared to provide the students of this area with a quality affordable education and fortify that education with memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
